PAUL O’BRIEN 2009

Plainsboro Business Partnership

Plainsboro has been my hometown for over 14 years. I continue to enjoy all that Plainsboro has to offer.  Through these years, I have witnessed a glaring need for the township's residents to patronize the local shops, restaurants and points of interest as evidenced by numerous vacancies and failed endeavors.  I believe one of the common roots of this problem is simply the lack of awareness of what is available in our own "backyard" versus the routine shopping behaviors to which many are accustomed.

In response, I have founded the Plainsboro Business Partnership, an organization which is comprised of business owners and/or operators, township residents, and community leaders who, together, are dedicated to promoting the spirit of Plainsboro via the patronage of local establishments and community resources. Please see the press release below, from the WW-P News:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Plainsboro Business Partnership Seeks Charter Members  Plainsboro, NJ. (July 4th 2009)

The Plainsboro Business Partnership (PBP), is seeking charter members to join Founder, Paul O'Brien, in championing the cause to promote patronage to local establishments by its residents.  "We have identified a need in the community and we have received a great deal of support"; says O'Brien who is Broker/Owner of Golden Rule Real Estate in Plainsboro. He continues, "Plainsboro is a great community with so much to offer, however, our residents need to be aware of what's available to them so they may support those who have invested themselves in local business."

The PBP holds monthly networking events that are hosted by local establishments featuring guest speakers. The PBP task force meets weekly to focus on activities aimed at fulfilling the partnership's mission: The Plainsboro Business Partnership is comprised of business owners and/or operators, township residents, and community leaders who, together, are dedicated to promoting the spirit of Plainsboro via the patronage of local establishments and community resources.
